ThyssenKrupp Forging Group awarded with the Cummins “Best Performance in Delivery/Capacity”

ThyssenKrupp Forging Group, one of the world’s leading producers of forged and fit-for-use machined crankshafts and other engines, suspension and transmission components, announced it has being awarded the “Best Performance in Delivery/Capacity” from Cummins Inc. Cummins, global power leader, is a corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service engines and related technologies.

This award was presented to ThyssenKrupp Forging Group in recognition of its commitment to providing high level of products with exceptional delivery performance in a short lead time exceeding Cummins expectation, especially by ThyssenKrupp Crankshaft Company during the unexpected demand increase in the so-called “pre-buy” by end of 2009. In the award Cummins has sited the successful installation of the new machining line in a record time and their appreciation for ThyssenKrupp advanced identification of potential bottlenecks and backup solutions in place to overcome them.

It was the strong partnership and relationship between Cummins and ThyssenKrupp Forging Group companies that successfully met the challenge.

Award recipients on the delivery category are chosen among more than 2000 suppliers of which 125 were classified as very-high-level (A or B level) and out of 6 finalists ThyssenKrupp Forging Group emerged the winner.
